As the Director of The Athlete Blueprint, Susan King Borchardt collaborates directly with athletes in the creation of their individualized and ongoing performance "Blueprint." Susan is passionate about helping athletes find their edge and has a 17-year proven history in design and implementation of high-performance training plans for professional, collegiate, and amateur athletes.
As a basketball player at Stanford, injury played a significant role early in her college career. In working to find her way out of those injuries, she found her way into her passion - performance and the frequently gray area between rehab and return to sport. She takes an evidence-led and systematic approach to building resilient athletes with a customized "plan of attack."
Susan has the privilege of working with some of the most accomplished women's athletes of this generation, including multi-time Olympic gold medalists and WNBA champions Sue Bird, Nneka Ogwumike, Breanna Stewart, Megan Rapinoe, Diana Taurasi, Kelsey Plum, Courtney Vandersloot, Satou Sabally and more.
Aside from her work with The Athlete Blueprint, she has held performance roles with CB Granada in the Spanish ACB, Stanford Women's Basketball, Nike and the WNBA's Seattle Storm. She is currently a Sports Performance Consultant for the WNBA's Seattle Storm, as well as the performance coach for the US Women's National Basketball team.
